Hat tip to our friends at the League of Innovators who are hosting and helping to facilitate the success of http://columbia.startupweekend.org/ being held September 30th in Columbia, MO.

You may have heard of this Startup Weekend effort before, as it is an international one, but this is the first time it has been held in Missouri. Although it does have Missouri-roots to it as the Kauffmann Foundation has been one of the grant underwriters for the project for several years.

The quick bullet points:

· Startup Weekend is an international organization that hosts Startup Weekends, 54 hour events where developers, designers, marketers, product managers and startup enthusiasts come together to share ideas, form teams build products and launch startups!

· Startup Weekend’s mission is to educate and promote entrepreneurship in local communities. As a 501(c)3 charity, they rely on partners to keep growing Startup Weekend around the world, and we as organizers for the Columbia Startup Weekend rely on partners to host an amazing event!

· When you join us as a sponsor partner your company will be seen by community influencers, forever trying your brand to this positive transformative experience.

· Startup Weekend Columbia is being held at the Museao building September 30th - October 2nd. We will be hosting guests from Columbia, Jefferson City, St. Louis, Kansas City, and more.

As mentioned above, we are looking for sponsorships. Sponsors to help cover the costs of running the event through Startup Weekend, feed the guests, provide prizes to the winning teams, and create an amazing experience for everyone involved.
